I was born deaf, and only had a samll amount of hearing, over the years as I got older, I found it more diffecult to hear things, with a normal hearing aid, I have always been , profoundly deaf in my right ear, and have only about 25% in my left ear.
So when the new digital hearing aids came out they gave me a little more hearing.
I have also got Ashers Sydrome, and myperipherial Vision, is very poor.
Then on the 20th April 2009 I lost all my hearing and am now profoundly deaf.
My journey then to me to the C.I center in southampon where I went to alot of appointments, and am now waiting for my Operation date, to have a cochlear implant fitted to my left ear, I will be having AB.

ReplyDeleteas you may all no am finally Ci I had the operation on the 25th of stepember 2009 it the best thing I ever did is having this op and I do not regret having it done at all..... I recovers really well I was recovers within 1 week, how amazing lol. well where I do start with my new life ahead of me mmm my switch is on 19th october 2009 so a new step to hearing hearing things step at a time..
